Kenya Brumfield-Young, Ph.D.,
MLS, MSCJ
Lexvico was founded by Dr. Kenya Brumfield-Young, a criminologist, researcher, criminal justice educator, and licensed private investigator whose career has centered on justice, truth-seeking, and the careful examination of complex cases.
Her work brings together academic training and real-world investigative practice. She has extensive experience reviewing wrongful-conviction claims, reconstructing large case files, retrieving records, identifying investigative gaps, locating witnesses, and supporting attorneys, families, and organizations as they work to understand what happened and what may have been overlooked.
Lexvico reflects that same approach: listen carefully, examine the record, ask better questions, and follow the facts wherever they lead. Every matter is handled with professionalism, discretion, and respect for the people whose lives are affected.
What Lexvico Means
The name Lexvico reflects the purpose behind the firm. Lex comes from the Latin word for law. Lexvico does not practice law or provide legal representation, but the name reflects a belief that every person deserves to be heard, treated fairly, and supported by a justice process grounded in facts.
The V represents veritas, the Latin word for truth. The I represents investigations, and Co represents consulting. Together, the name expresses Lexvico’s commitment to truth, careful investigation, and informed criminal justice consulting.
